Duncan sat at the table, feeling a bit wierd in stuch a huge empty place. "I wonder how the acoustics are in here." he said to nocbody and got out his guitar. He tuned it a bit as he heard the huge clock ticking in the emptiness.
He smiled and began to play

Sleepy walked into the Gryffindor House and saw no one else than his newest friend Duncan Mowbray sitting in the Hall, playing guitar and singing a song. He and Duncan were the only boys so far in the house of Gryffindor, except for Professor Power, but then... she was the House Head, not a student.
Sleepy greated his friend Duncan "That was a nice song, Duncan, did you write it yourself?" He and Duncan looked like the Sun and the Moon, with their respective Red and Blond hairs.

"NO, it's a song by a muggle band called Coldplay. The song is called Clocks." Duncan answered. "One of the advantages of having a mother that is a muggle and a professor, she was going to make sure all the kids know both worlds, so I get muggle music too."
"The song was played a lot for muggles." Duncan said. "Since you don't recognize it I'll guess that you were raised in the wizard world with little or no muggle contact."

"You're right, Duncan" Sleepy said, shaking his head with a look as if he had missed something. "I'm coming from a small place in Scotland, Carbury, and both my parents are wizards."
Since his early childhood, Sleepy had been hearing mainly wizard music, especially from his mother, who is an expert in playing Indian Ragas on her sitar, an instrument she inherited from her grandfather. "I play some sitar, and a bit of guitar too. " Sleepy remembered his mother and got a deep feeling of home sickness.
"You know, I'm missing home already and it's only my first day here in Hogwarts" Sleepy almost started crying "let's go to the Tower, will you show me around?"
Wondering where all the other students were, Sleepy followed Duncan as he led him to Gryffindor Tower.

Duncan put a hand on Sleepy's shoulder and said "Buck up, mate. You're not alone here, you know. You've already found a freind."
Then he gave Sleepy a bit of a tug and said "Move on now."
As they walked Duncan got a weird thought and asked "SO do you have relatives named Sneezey, Grumpy, Bashful and Doc ?" but since Sleepy was a pureblood Duncan was pretty sure that Sleepy wouldn't get the reference to Snow White.
OOC: I started a thread in Gryfindor Tower for the boys.

"Thanks, Duncan" Sleepy said, a bit comforted by his tug."I really needed that."
Sleepy followed his friend Duncan to the boy's tower and replied to his question. "Huh? No, I have two younger sisters named Sweety and Bella. And a nephew, Dirablab. Funny name, huh?"
"My mother is Radha and my father is Yadu Dragonwood, a great master wizard, he was a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts 30 years ago." Sleepy added, with great devotion to his parents.

She leant backwards and accidently fell off. Sniggers erupted from elsewhere; but Mist had stars circling her chocolate brown eyes.

Mist ignored her and continued staring into space.
"Stupid Mist ... " She muttered quietly to herself.
"Can't face them ever again ... " she kept on muttering, her eyes red-rimmed and her head sore from crying so much in the Gryffindor Common Room.
"Never can I face them ... ever, EVER again. Stupid Mist ... " She repeated, and put her head down on the table, all set to cry once more.

Katie looking into her eyes. The lovely hufflepuff sat beside Mist. "you look woorse than I did for Hawkes."
She sat exactly beside Mist. "You got i rilly bad, huh ? Crazy about Duncan and can't think of anything else ? I guess he's kinda like that. He's so sweet and nice that ya kinda can't help love him, huh ? Lucky that we 'related' to each other." Katie said, obviously refering to how she and Duncan were 'brother and sister'.
She put her arms around Mist. "I know how the hurt feels, honey. I had it too and it was like a hole in my heart. At least nobody was being stupid at you."
She stopped and said "Well he can be stupid , but not malicious or vicious - just stupid."
"If you need a shoulder to cry on, i have two." KAtie said in a whisper.

"Well it won't take long to figure out something is up." Katie said holding Mist close, stroking her hair and whispering in her ear. "The fountains don't have as much water flowing as you do. ANd it's not hard to see how far you're sitting away from Duncan. You were side by side earlier."
She leaned Mist's head on her shoulder. "SO I think you're gonna need to deal with the whole school knowin, not just Lilah. Sorry for the bad news."
