Ceta had joined Galagron in the Three Broomsticks, oh how she had heard about the delights of Butterbeer and now she was finally going to taste it.
She took a seat next to the fireplace as this particular fall was a cold one, and she watched as Galagron went to the bar to order two Butterbeers.
She looked around the room, it was crowded with students from Hogwarts and the locals. She was amazed to see the differences in how wizards and witches looked compared to muggles, she giggled as she thought about what muggles would think if they were to ever see the clothing these locals wore.
Finally feeling the heat of the fire Ceta took off her cloak , she was wearing a beautiful magenta knitted sweater and a pair of blue jeans that snuggled her delicious and curvey hips. She also wore her amulet pendant that her mother had given her before leaving for hogwarts, her mother told her it would bring her luck, protection and all the love from home. It shone under the lights of the Inn....

Smokestone ordered the two beers from the bar. As he waited for them to be ready, he he practiced his speech to Ceta. She looked very beautiful today and he wanted to impress her.
"So, Miss Nightingale, how about this weather, huh?" Weather? Is that all you've got, Smokestone?
"How about Potions, eh? I'd rather be cooking up a potion with you, am I right?!" Idiot. You're an idiot, Galagron.
Smokestone got the beers and began moving slowly back to where she was sitting.
"So what do you think of DADA?" Stupid question. Think, Smokestone, think!
"So you're pretty, what's that all about?" Ok, no...don't say that. That's by far the dumbest, most asinine thing you've ever....
Smokestone saw Miss Nightingale in front of him, blushing at the question he had just posed.
You did say it.

Ceta quite stunned but also amused by what Galagron had said, and still blushing wasn't sure what to say next. She was interested in guys sure, and she thought Galagron was quite attractive, but she knew she was young and she didn't want to fall for a guy at Hogwarts just yet. After all she knew what happened to girls who fell for guys too early on and became all googoo eyed over them.
Not her though, she was determined to concentrate on her studies for a bit longer. Still, she couldn't quite stop the feeling that was developing inside though and she wondered how long it would take for her to succumb to the wants of her heart.
"Erm" she giggled "I guess I inherited my looks from my parents, it was really something I couldn't help".
She thought making light of the situation would be the best bet, rather than ignore it all together.
"Thank you though, I think?!"
"Anyways" she said taking a gulp of butterbeer the froth leaving a mustache on her upper lip "what do you think of the classes so far?"

"Um, I rather like classes, yes." I like classes? Not just any classes. No, I, Galgron Smokestone, am an aficionado of all classroom environments! Idiot...
"I just wish Ceta Nightingale 101 was offered here at Hogwarts. That's a class I would take! But then, I'd imagine it would be rather demeaning to have a professor teach you as a subject for a semester. Everyone would be staring at you and everything. That's not nice. I don't like it when people stare at me. I get all self-conscious. I start worrying that maybe I've done something wrong and everyone is ridiculing me. It's not very nice to be ridiculed by your peers. I think everyone should endeavor to be nicer to one another, ya know? Peace and love. That's what I'm talking about. Peace and love. I mean, what's really the need for fighting and all that? No need. I never really saw the point in fighting. I mean, sure I could hold my own in a fight and if push came to shove, yeah, I would put someone down. Definitely. But, even still, it's just so wasteful, ya know? Why fight? There are plenty of things that I find wasteful. Like, going somewhere, say to a restaurant, and ordering food but only really eating half of it or 2/3 of it. That's wasteful. Someone's gone to all the trouble to make you this nice food, and sure you've paid for it, but I mean they've made it, and you just waste it. Why would you do that? I just don't get it. If you're not that hungry, don't order so much food. Just get an appetizer or something. And then maybe if you're still hungry, be like "Yeah, I'd like the steak, please'. Whatever. I'm not saying you should only order steaks at restaurants, that would be absurd. I'm much more of a hamburger person myself. And pasta. I like hamburgers, pasta, pizza, steak and ale pie, Yorkshire pudding, all sorts really. I've never quite met a meal that I haven't liked! Haha! That's not to say I eat too much. No. Far from it. As you can see, I take pride in how I look. Yes, I think it's important to be proud of yourself. I mean sometimes, I'll get up extra early in the morning just so that I can spend some time just making sure I look alright before class. I mean, not that I'm vain. No, not vain. I'm not. Who cares about looks, right? It's what's inside that counts. I mean that's really what matters to me. Insides. You have nice insides. Wait, what? No, I mean I like the way you look inside. No, not your insides, I've never seen inside your body. That's just....that's gross. No, I mean, I'm sure your insides are lovely. Very nice indeed. I'd love to see them if I got the chance. No. That's not what I meant. It's just that I think you're swell, ya know? I like talking to you about stuff. I mean sometimes I just try to think of something to talk about just so that I can talk to you, ya know? Like....plants. Don't you just like plants. I sure do! Plants being all plant-like. Good stuff, I tell ya. Plants of all shapes and sizes, really. Ok, so maybe I don't really know anything about plants, but give me a break, alright? Sorry. I'm sorry, Ceta. So enough about me, tell me about you. I mean I don't want to talk about myself too much. You don't want to sit there and hear about me. I'm boring. I mean what's there to tell? My parents were both wizards, as were their parents before them, and their parents, and so on. My parents even went to school with The Boy That Lived. That's the way I heard it told anyway. That's a funny nickname, don't you think? The Boy That Lived. I suppose it's much better than being called The Boy That Died, right?! Am I right? Hahahaha. Ah, I really shouldn't joke about that. It's quite sad what happened, the whole business with Voldemort and everything. I mean, that's just nasty. What did he have to go and be like that for? I sure am glad that's all over with. But, never you worry, Miss Nightingale, were something like that to happen, I'd take care of you. I'd have you covered, madam. I mean, sure, I'd probably die. No doubt about that. But, you - I'd get you somewhere safe, that's for sure. Now where was I? Ah yes, so you know all there really is to know about me - my parents were great people, and all the family has high hopes indeed for their little Galagron. I mean, it's quite suffocating, living up to their expectations. I'm just some guy, you know? Sure, I'll try my best, but it will only be my best and that's it! Yes. No pressure on me, no no. I will not take it. Speaking of taking it, or not, have you heard that song? "We're Not Gonna Take It"? That's a good song, that is. I like that song. There are plenty of songs I like. I mean, not that we're gonna talk about songs. But yeah, I mean I quite like Wizard Rock, and other Muggle forms of music as well. Those muggles sure are good at some things, you know? Certainly not to be scoffed at, muggles! They are certainly not bad. I used to Father that, you know? 'Father', I'd say, 'you know, Father, muggles - they're just not that bad. Some even make considerable contributions to society.' Muggle society, that is. Not that I'd know anything about muggle society. I read something in a book once, I think. I believe I heard once that they don't shave much, the lot of them. Strange, huh? But then, you're part-muggle, and you seem to keep yourself fairly well shaven, and look at me, hairy as a fox! But seriously, I don't normally look this way. My hygiene is quite good. Seriously. Please don't hate me!!"
What just happened?

Jaslyn skipped into the Three Broom Sticks seeing Ceta rambling. "Ceta...?"

Ceta was quite thankful to see Jaslyn and she jumped up and hugged the Slytherin girl, after all anything seemed the wiser thing to do then answer all that Galagron had just said without taking a breath - she was amazed he was alive!
"Hey Jaslyn, how's it going? Wont you come sit with us and have a Butterbeer?"

"No, no - you should stay Jaslyn! After all I have some things I need to shop for later as well!"
Ceta pulled out a seat for Jaslyn to join them.
"I'm not sure if you met my friend Galagron?"

"No, I don't think so." Jaslyn put out her hand politely. "Jaslyn, Jaslyn Blink." Then she turned back to her friend. "I really think I should go, i mean, you lot seemed to be in some conversation, because Galagron was rambling on and on..." Jaslyn stated not noticing the arrogant sneer in her voice. She hoped Ceta was used to her Slytherin Arrogance. "But! If you do truly want me to stay, I will, but... really, I could just head back to Hogwarts Grounds."

"I think you should stay" she turned to Jaslyn so Galagron couldn't see and mouthed P-L-E-A-S-E.
Ceta was starting to get used to the Slytherin way, after all she had met Laelia a couple of times and had her own run in's with a couple of Slytherin. But over all they seemed a fairly nice bunch, as long as you watched your back with them.
However her mother and father had always taught her not to judge a book by its cover, and so she had decided before entering Hogwarts that she would make friends with whoever she could regardless of house and race.
Jaslyn seemed like a nice girl, and Ceta really needed a female companion right now - especially since Jessi couldn't make this trip being bogged down with too much homework and all.

"Oh, hello, Jaslyn. Yes, nice to meet you. The name's Galagron Smokestone. Please do stay."
Smokestone could feel himself shrinking inside, as though everyone had just his soul and thought it was decidedly less impressive than everyone else's. He took a giant swig of butterbeer, leaving a mustache on his face and he smiled really big.
"It sure is tasty!"

Jaslyn raised an eyebrow with a smirk and mouthed back B-O-Y P-R-O-B-L-E-M-S? Then she let a giggle slip. Ceta was such a good friend. She never let you down, and always could talk. She looked to Galagron and he had a confused look on his face. He obviously could NOT read girl talk. Jaslyn then pulled her coat tighter across her. "I'm going to order a butter beer...er, Ceta, I think you need another one, and another straw...."
Sure enough Ceta's glass had not a drop of gold liquid in it, and the straw was bent in a mixture of ways, with bite marks in them. Jaslyn shook her head and laughed.

Ceta giggled at her own straw and nodded to Jaslyn's question of another Butterbeer. "I'll help you get them" she said.
As she went to walk past Galagron to the bar, she felt bad for ignoring all that he said - but in truth it was such a mixture of conversation she couldn't remember half that he had said in the first place. However she felt it necessary to respond with at least one thing.
"I like you Galagron" she whispered in his ear "You're unique"

At the bar with Jaslyn, she explained that she was indeed having boy problems and that she liked Galagron but wasn't ready for any kind of relationship other than friendship right now!
She also thanked Jaslyn for staying with her, and told Jaslyn how nice it would be for them to get to know one another better. She paid for hers and Jaslyn's Butterbeer and then she returned back to the table.
