good morning (lilah, duncan, open )

[Duncan Mowbray]

Duncan carried a package to the slytherin table.
""Good morning Duncan." said a seventh year girl.
"Good morning Gwen." he stopped and replied.
"Got something for Lilah ?" she asked "You can't buy a slytherin's heart." she teased.
"You and Lilah are proof that Slytherins can have a heart." Duncan replied. "And yes, it is for the Lady Lilah."
I thought I told you to stay away from slytherin ! and Lilah !" snarled a fifth year boy.
Duncan's face looked like utter astonishment. "You... though" and he laughed.
The boy stood and glared menacingly.
Gwen pointed her wand at the boy and said "Make a move and I'll hex you."
The boy grumbled under his breath, but sat, obviously affraid of seventh year girl.
"Thanks Gwen." Duncan said with a smile. "But I could have handled that oaf !"
Gwen shook her head "No you couldn't Duncan. You're a first year and he's fifth and he'd annihilate you. I heard that you're very talented and walked in here knowing spells all of us had to learn, but you ARE a first year. Be carefully, you silly Gryfindor." she said kindly. "I'm watching your back, Duncan!" she said loudly enough for the other slytherins to hear.
"Thanks Gwen. You are quite a lady." Duncan said.
Gwen giggled. "Well you're smart enough to know the best girls are Slytherin, so I have to like you." se said. She tossled his hair. "I think Lilah's a lucky lady, just like you are one very, VERY lucky lad."
Duncan nodded. "You're right about that. I am a lucky guy" he said walking away from Gwen. He made sur it was loud enough for the other Slytherins to hear, especially Lilah.
He finally got to Lilah. "Good moring, hon." He sat a box in front of her with a bow on it. It said:
To Lilah with love. The package was a very nice one from Gladraggs, a witches boutique.
"I hope you like it." he said.

Lilah opened the box to reveal a green slytherin bikini that looked a bit big for ehr size

Lilah melted

"He's perfect she said as she held the card to her hearts

"DUNCAN! YOU DID NOT HAVE TO BUY ME ANYTHING BUT I LOVE YOU!" Lilah yelled or shouted haha

Duncan stroked her hair and smiled. "Of course I did. If I let the rest of these fellows see you cute you look in..." Duncan blushed slightly "in your other swimwear I'd have to fight off every male in the school. I'd never have any time to be with you."

He kissed her on the cheek, obviously not wanting to put her in an akward position in the great hall at her house table. "How about if I walk you to your first class ?" he said and extended his hand towards her.

The fifth year boy that yelled at Duncan earlier was purple with rage.

[Brooke Edwards]

Brooke waltzed in to the great hall with a huge smile on her face. She had all of her books for her classes weighing down her bag. She had her hair a bright purple today and it was boycut. Har had it spiked up. She was also wearing pretty earings that her uncle had sent her. She was nearly bouncing as she sat down at the Hufflepuff table. The fifth year boys looked at her as she passed, frowning.

Brooke didn't usually stand out as much as today, but she had recieved a letter from her Uncle. The letter had hinted that he might save up for a broom for her birthday. Brooke was quite excited. She couldn't wait. Brooke gathered a bunch of sausages on her plate and she inhaled them.

Brooke looked around the table for Katie, but didn't spot her. She gave up eventually and turned to the Slytherin table to look for Laelia. She didn't see Laelia there, but Brooke did see Duncan and Lilah.

Trying not to stare, Brooke looked away. She felt a little envious of Lilah. She had liked Duncan and was now good friends with him. She had been a little hurt finding out about him and Lilah, but it really hadn't been bothering her.

Seeing them together simply made Brooke lonely. She didn't want Duncan, but she kind of wanted somebody. She looked back at them again and gave Duncan a bright smile and friendly wave. She took a deep breath. They looked so happy together.

Lilah felt like she could fly
"duncan you are truly amazing. I think a lot of girls like you." Lilah said pointing out brookes distant stares. Lilah is very observant.

[Mist LightRose]

"Hey, Brooke." Mist appeared behind Brooke. "Scare ya again?" She asked with a grin.

Mists' eyes followed Brookes' gaze, and saw Lilah and Duncan.
"I think, Brooke," Mist smiled at her, "Someone other than Lilah and myself likes Duncan too."

"Come on," She smiled, "Why were you grinning before you saw them?"

Brooke smiled as Mist walked up to her. She really wasn't upset about Lilah and Duncan. She just wished she had someone. Her hair stayed the bright purple colour that it was, but her eyes changed to a beautiful deep blue colour.

"C'mon Mist," Brooke said, with a frown on her face. "You know that I used to like Duncan. I don't anymore...I just...I wish I had someone, you know." Brooke admitted this to Mist, blushing.

"I'm really happy for Duncan." Brooke said, looking back at the couple, a grin on her face. "He's one of my best friends and I couldn't be happier for them," Brooke waited for Duncan to return her wave.

[Katie Carter]

Katie laughed behind the other two girls "I guess we'll be the Duncan fan club. But we better not tell him. His head will get way too big."

She looked at both girls "Me and Duncan are training together, muggle martial arts. We thought it would be good for you two too. Wanna talk about it over breakfast ?"

She gave Brooke a hug "You look like you're doing a lot better."

[Mist LightRose]

"I love fighting," Grinned Mist. "Not arguing, proper kicking, punching. I'd certinanly love to kick Thorns ... butt." Mist was about to say something ruder, but just about managed to hold her tongue.

"Which table?" Mist asked, her chocolate eyes flickering through the four tables.

"You haven't answered why you were grinning, Brooke."

[Brooke Edwards]

Brooke smiled as Katie put her arm around her. She was feeling loads better. She whispered a small thanks to Katie, before she went on.

"Martial Arts?" Brooke had heard of Kung Fu, but she really didn't know the details. "That's sounds really interesting. Duncan already suggested I join you, I think it could be fun." Brooke continued to smile.

"Well,there are two Hufflepuff and one Griffindor. Two against one?" Brooke laughed, teasing Mist. Then she remembered her initial reason for being so happy.

"Mist! Katie!" Brooke exclaimed. "I didn't tell you. My uncle might buy me a broom for my birthday. I'm so excited to try! Isn't that great?" Brooke really wanted to learn how to fly, she'd always been very interested in Quidditch.

[Mist LightRose]

"Well ... I'd be more worried about Katie. Duncan tells me you've been kicking his butt,"

"Oh, Cool!" Mist exclaimed with Brooke. "I've only been on a broom once." She nodded, and thought about the time she'd been with Oliver in the Quidditch Pitch. She realised she was daydreaming about Oliver, shook her head, and tuned in to what they were both saying.

"Duncan. things seem so unreal" lilah said in a goodway pushing her food away

Duncan began to laugh "Unreal ?" he chuckled good-naturedly. "You and me hang out with a centuries old greek god in the forbidden forest andd 'this' seems unreal ?"

He leaned in and gave her a hug. "I guess it's a girl thing."
