Upon arriving at his destination, Galagron Smokestone felt his excitement build. It was a long day filled with traveling and getting things sorted. Arriving at the famed Ollivander's seemed to Smokestone to be a symbolic gesture that things were finally underway. This was real - he was going to Hogwarts!
When Galagron entered Ollivander's, he was immediately taken aback by a unique carving on the wall. After squinting his eyes, he could see four clearly defined numbers...7, 12, 3, and 8. He wondered aloud what they may mean, saying each number to himself. He snapped back into reality as he noticed that someone was waiting for him to state his purpose of being there...
"I would like a wand please. I have money.", Smokestone said with hope. The phrase ended with an inflection that made it sound more like a question than a statement, which must have sounded peculiar indeed. The man smiled and without speaking turned and walked towards a countless number of old boxes. The man asked for measurements.
Suddenly, Smokestone remembered the unique carving on the wall.

When Galagron gave Ollivander his measurements, Ollivander turned around and looked through his piles and piles of old boxes. Finally, he pulled one out of the old pile. He took the wand out of the box and handed it to Galagron. "This wand is perfect for you. It is made of yew, has a length of twelve and three-quarters inches, and has a core of veela hair. I recommend using it for Defense spells. Galagron stared hopefully at the wand, almost forgetting to give Mr. Ollivander the payment of fifteen galleons before leaving the store!
