Duncan watched the interplay between Hawkes and Katie. It looked like they would be fun to watch.
"That looks like a good idea." Duncan said. He tried to float, just like Kaite did, but he sunk like a rock. He climbed out of the water and laughed.
"Well I guess ya gotta know the spell." Duncan said on the shore. "I don't feel heavy as lead, but I sure did sink like a lead brick. I"d better learn the bubble head charm."
OOC: I sank because somebody should get it wrong sometimes. We ARE first years.

Katie giggled at Duncan. "It's an easy spell. Let me show you."
She walked to the shore and showed him the spell several times. "YOu should be good now." she said.
Then she laid on the lake and floated again. "ANybody else getting hungry ?" she asked. "I'm ussually hungry after a big run."

Duncan paid attention and got it right. Soon he was floating on the water too.
When Katie asked about food Duncan said "A snack might be good right about now. I found my way to the kitchen when I was exploring. I'm sure we could go there anytime. The house elves are really nice."

Duncan nodded. "Sure, maybe we should make our official motto 'The More The Merrier' or something like that."
Then he started to laugh and sank. He stood up and started to walk to the shore. "If we're heading in I'm getting dry and dressed."
He dried with a quick spell and dressed.
"Anybody else ?" Duncan asked. He looked at Isabella "You interested, quiet lady ?"

Mist said, "Aw, you're leaving?" She glared. "That's evil .... " in a wierd voice. "I'm waiting here." she turned to Hawk. "Sorry I didn't answer," she said, " Was in a world of my own."

Hawkes climbed back up the tree and took a seat nex to Mist.
"So what werre you thinking about, that made you space out like that?"

KAtie walked out of the water. "Hey Duncan, can you use that drying spell on me ? Then we could go in and grab some food."

"Climbing? Like rocks and stuff? Ive never really tried it," he answered.
"As you can see I can climb trees, so I guess I could climb rocks, so youre a rock climber then?" Hawkes grinned back.

"Yeah ... I love it. The thrill, 'n' stuff like that. Well, until you fall ... " Mist joked. She laughed even harder at the shocked expression on Hawkes' face. "Joke. If you have the right equiptment on, you won't fall. Well, unless you have no equiptment ... " grinned Mist, and thought about the time she had no equiptment on whilst climing a Muggle mountain.

Duncan cast the drying spell on Katie, which turned out to be amusing because the girl's red hair puffed up and looked like a fire on her head.
"Um.. sorry" Duncan said with a giggle.
He turned towards everybody "Me an Katie are heading to the kitchen. Anybody else joining us ?"
OOC: Duncan is leaving this thread. I will be opening a new one in the kitchen.
