Duncan continued to follow Bast, his silver gray cat, around hogwarts as he scetched the layout. His very clever cat, named after the egyptian cat goddess, had already found one secret door and was now pacing in front of a painting in the basement.
Duncan examind the painting carefully and, rather accidentally, opened the kitchen door. He smelled the food and laughed "I should have known you would sniff out the kitchen."
He followed the cat in "Goodness, house elves."
He walked up to one. "Hello, aren't you a house elf ? I read about you in Hogwarts a History. Do you like working here ?"
The elf turned towards him. "yes, young master, gobbi is very fond of Hogwarts. Can gobbi get somethng for you ?"
"Do you have any apple juice or orange juice ? And maybe a little bit of fish for my cat ?" Duncan answered.

Mist was wandering in the school grounds, quite bored. 'Maybe I'll go to the kitchens,' she thought to herself, and followed her nose down to the kitchen. "Hello, Duncan!" she nodded to Duncan, who was drinking apple juice. She noticed Bast, though of course, she didn't know it's name. "Is this your cat?" she asked him.

"HI Mist." Duncan replied.
He smiled and said "yes, her name is Bast, from the egyptian goddess of cats. She travels with me sometimes when I'm waundering about. She's very curious, like me, and she's good at finding hidden things. That's how we found the kitchen."
"Wanna join us for a snack ?" he asked.
He turned to the elf "Hey Gobbi, my friend, can you bring us a snack ?" Duncan ASKED in a freindly fashion.

"Can I just have some orange? Thanks." she smiled. She turned to Duncan. "I'm kinda bored ... do you wanna do something?"

Duncan laughed. "Well I'm ussually up for something. Did you have anything in mind ?
"I've been mapping out the place. Have you found any interesting places yet ?"

"No," Mist replied. "So ... " she murmered "Hey, do you want to go the music room? And play guitar together?" she asked.

"I'd love too." Duncan answered. "You play guitar too ?" he asked as he piled up his plates, cleaning up after himself.
A house elf appeared and said "Don't bother with that sir ! WIth so few students here we are looking for more work to do ! Please don't take work away from us."
Duncan looked at the small creature and felt sorry for her "Would you like it if I ask for some special foods. I really like sushi. If you can make some for supper that would be wonderful."
The elf smiled from ear to ear, which was impressive considering her huge ears. "We will find and prepare sushi for you sir, thank you !" she said.
"You're very welcome." Duncan said.
He picked up Bast and turned his attention back to Mist. "Do you write music too ? Do you have a favorite band or style of music ?" he said as he began to walk towards the door.
He stopped and said "But you should lead the way, I don't know where the music room is."

Mist smiled back, "Sometimes I write my own. Follow me;" and led him to the Music Room.

Duncan said his goodbyes to the House elves and they left the kicten with Duncan following Mist's lead.
OOC: this thread is over in this location. They are continuing in dueats im music room if anybody wants to find them.
