How accurate is the stuff we can read in Hogwarts, a history ? Does it tell us that Gilderoy Lockheart was a heroic professor that lost his memories fighting a basilisk or does it say he was a coward and a theiving fraud ?

For this particular RPG, we are going to assume that "Hogwarts, a History" is a magical book that is constantly updating itself with new information and truthful information. Thus, the book would say that Lockhart was a thieving fraud because that is the truth.

It might be a good idea to say that it magically updates but always shows the updates to the headmaster for approval before making any changes. If it didn't do that a LOT of Dumbledore's plans and secrets would have been in the pages of HaH.
