Katie smiled at the house elf. "Thanks. I really needed that."
She smiled and said "And I only eat like an animal after a hard work out. Ussually I do have some manners." And she ate again, but this time like a person.
She looked over to Hawkes. "You're going to need some help around here. You've never seen a ghost or a house elf, there's a lot you aren't ready for. If you didn't sign up for a class like 'the magical world for muggle borns' we can probably help you out. So you don't get hurt or embarrassed."

"Hurt nah, Im not worried about that and Ive been embarrassed since Ive gotten here," Hawkes said giving Katie a wink. Hawkes was calmer now, "Hey little guy," speaking to an elf "Ill take that cookie now and get one for Katie as well."

"Sure, I could go for some cookies too." Katie replied. "I did a hard work out an I can tell I'm startin another growth spurt. I'll probably be as tall as mom, she's 6 feet tall." and Katie laughed.
"Anybody else up for cookies ?"

Duncan took a cookie and had an idea. Hey Gobbi, since you seem to like making things so much , would you like to bring snacks to our common rooms sometimes ? Or maybe give us a way to call you if we get the munchies ?"
"What are munchies ?" gobbi asked "Are they something we can cook for you ?" she asked happily.
Duncan laughed "No, the word 'munchies' means feeling suddenly hungry enough to eat 10 kilograms of food at one time."
Gobbi smiled "certainly sir" she said. "I can bring each of you a dinner bell. Ring the bell intentionally, not by accident, and a house elf will arrive."
"fantastic" Duncan smiled.

 Gobbi smiled "We give a handful of these out every year to special students. You will be the only students that can call us with these this year." Duncan bowed to Gobbi, looking very formal and correct, nearly knight-ly. "Thank you." he said. Gobbi smiled and actually blushed. "You are welcome young master." "Would anyone like anything else ?" the house elf asked.
