Player knowledge and character knowledge are very different things and I don't think Harry would let somebody publish his life as seven novels. What are we allowed to know and not allowed to know. I don't think it was common knowledge that the womping willow was put there to hide the entrance to the shreiking shack, but I could be wrong.
How much do we know ?
