[Duncan Mowbray]

OOC: just following where the headmaster put Lilah.

In Character:
By the time Duncan arrived the nurse was tending to Lilah. Duncan walked over and asked. "How is she ?"

OOC: nurse or lilah can answer

[Lilah Delancy]

Lilah was in the black dreaming of what'd be like if Hawkes were different and she actually had a shot with him....

"hawkes." Lilah said in her sleep with a smile....

[Duncan Mowbray]

Duncan heard her call out to Hawkes, who hadn't arrived yet. Duncan nodded with a sad expression on his face and was glad that nobody was here yet. He kind of liked Lilah, but if she was laying there calling to Hawkes then he knew that she made her decission.

"I'm sure that he'll be here soon." Duncan said. "I just wish the nurse was here."

Duncan began to look around, but never moved to far from Lilah.

OOC: Hawkes, this happened before your suicide so you could show up here.

[Mist LightRose]

Mist hurried on.
"Hey, Duncan ... How is she? Been saying anything, or ought?" She panted.

"God ... " She muttered. "Come on, Li, wake up." She whispred, tears forming in her eyes.

[Duncan Mowbray]

"She's been calling for Hawkes." Duncan replied. "So where is he ? He can't be that much slower than both of us. He claimed to be a jock."

Duncan looked frazzled. "You stay with her. I'll look for the nurse."

[Lilah Delancy]

Lilah was in black still but she remembered the music in the forrest and the thrill of Duncan in her presence she realized she wanted Duncan but in her vision the clouds dissapeared and duncan vanished. She was angered and felt alone.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

"No! No! Duncan COME BACK! I love oyu DONT LEAVE!" Lilah yelled in her sleep


'AHHHHHHHH" She screamed holding her stomach

OOC- She is still asleep

[Mist LightRose]

"God!" Mist suddenly yelled. "Why? WHY?! I like someone and BAM! THEY LIKE MY BEST FRIEND! ARGH!" Yelled Mist, and stormed out, angry, annoyed, but most of all - upset.

[Duncan Mowbray]

Duncan heard Mist yell and ran after her "Mist what's wrong ?" he asked as he caught up. "I heard you yelling that... they like your best friend... as soon as you like someone they like your best freind."

He looked thoughtful. "And they like someone else... Lilah likes... me ?" he looked confused. "and you... like Lilah ?"

He took Mist's hand "Mist.. I won't come between you and Lilah." he said scincerely. It was obvious that he misunderstood what Mist meant.

[Mist LightRose]

Mist snatched her hand away.
"You Jerk! I'm not a lesbian, or bi! I'm straight! Go away ... I don't want to talk to anyone right now." She whispered, and ran off to the Gryffindor Common Room.

[Duncan Mowbray]

Duncan looked confused as Mist stormed away. "If I live to be a thousand I won't understand girls. I know that she said..."
And he paced in the hall replaying what he heard again and again and again.
He leaned against the wall and slid to the floor and landed with a plop. "She likes me." he said. "Or she did till I thought she was lesbian. He shook his head and struggled to his feet.

"How am I supposed to survive this year ?" he asked himself as he went into the imfirmory. Because of Mist's yelling he completely missed what Lilah had said.

He saw the nurse working Lilah. "When you're done with her I could REALLY use something for a head ache."

He went to an empty cot and laid down and pulled the blanket over his head. "I wonder if there is an anti-drama charm."

[Lilah Delancy]

"Duncan. Dont! Stop I still love you!

Hawkes stupid son of a gun! Payton. where are you?" Lilah mutttered

OOC- DUNCAN HEAR THAT

Duncan heard Lilah call out and he pulled the cover more over his head. He sighed deeply and sat up.

The nurse handed him a cup with a fizzing potion in it. He gulped it down and his head ache went away.

He walked towards Lilah's bed.

He took her hand "Lilah.. I.." he took a deep breath and let it out with a long sigh. He hung his head.

"You're confusing me Lilah." he said. "Just hours ago you were standing in the qudditch pitch screaming something like 'HAWKES I NEED YOU' as loud as you could. It's kinda hard to believe that you... wanted Hawkes that much and love me."

"Maybe you believe you do love me. I mean.... Hawkes really hurt you and I show up to rescue you. A lot of girls fall for their 'knight in shing armor' or the 'heroic wizard' that saves the day."

"Maybe you're feeling some oversized gratefulness." he said sadly, shaking his head. "But I don't think that Hawkes put a confundus or an imperrius curse on you. It really looked like you were ... excited enough to jump with him. You didn't look like you were in love with me."

He released her hand. "I don't know what is happening. I'll help you through if I can."

He sat on the bed across from her.
OOC: It's kinda like being a fire-fighter, fighting drama with drama.

Lilah started to see brilliant colors and then she saw him.
Duncan.

He was there for her and Hawkes wasn't

but she quickly pretended to sleep and heard what he said

"Duncan. I wasn't going to jump! I wanted to help him. and i dont like Hawkes hes a jerk. You were always there for me. Not him. You can think what you want or like any of the girls ebcause they are all better then me the ugly slytherin. But I fell in love with a gryffandor. It might kill me but its worth it." Lilah spilled

ooc- she just woke up

Duncan shook his head. "You aren't ugly. You're beautiful and you know it. And I don't care what house anybody is from. My whole family was in Ravenclaw and Hawkes was a Ravenclaw. I refuse to cut him slack or give him a break because he's a ravenclaw. And I won't hold anybody's house against them or favor them for it."

He started to pace beside Lilah's bed as he talked. He looked thoughtful as he moved around. His eyes, ever moving, seemed to be looking for something. "We've been here for a couple of weeks. I don't think I've had enough time to fall in love with anybody. I really like you..."

He stopped so that she could look into his eyes. "We've been through a bit together and I am.. fond of you and see you as somebody..."

He smiled and ran his fingers through his hair in a nervous-habit kind of way "as somebody I could fall for given some time for thing to develop. That wouldn't garantee that I would fall in love, nothing can promise that it would happen." He srugged and added "But there is no garentee that it wouldn't happen. It's just something that we'd have to let happen."

He began to pace again. Obviously nervous, he continued. "I hope this doesn't hurt you, and I don't want to lie to you or mislead you. I am your freind and I care for you - beyond that, things would need to develop."

He smiled at her "I wouldn't mind if they do develop."

"You think things threw way tooo much! Just live in the moment Duncan. Like when you heard the music and followed it with me. Just do it. Who cares how we end but we know we got there together." Lilah said hopeful to hear an answer she wanted to
