OOC: me and duncan planned this one and I have permission to put him hear and move him. Duncan, I hope i do this right.

IC:
Duncan told Katie how he opened the room of requirements and Katie did the same thing. She walked back and forth 3 times in front of the hall and thought about how much she needed a large and fully stocked dojo ( martial arts school ) to practice in.

The door opened an it looked just like the school she learned Tae Kwon Do at. She smiled and ran into the changing room and found a gi her size. It even had her black belt.

She went into the class room and began her katas, spinning and leaping and kicking with fantastic force.

She didn't see Dunacn go into the men's changing room. He came out in kicking pants and a sleaveless t-shirt that was tight on his whip-chord muscled frame.

He walked onto the mat as Katie practiced and stood a few feet from her as she whipped around in a high kick that naerly hit his face. He barely managed to back up in time.

She stopped, panting. "Duncan ! You coulda got yerself killed ! I told you I'd give you lessons. The first one is stand back !"

She looked at him and said "And a black belt has to be earned, so take that off."

Duncan took it off while he said "This isn't my black belt, but I DO have a black belt in tai chi chuan." He put the removed belt on the shelf.

Katie smiled. "Wanna have a little match ? I wanna see how good you are."

Duncan nodded and stepped into a fighting stance. They began to fight.

Katie shuffled away from Duncan. He closed in on her. While he was advancing Katie stopped and shot a kick at his chest.

Duncan saw the kick coming at him and leaned back. The kick flew over his chest then Katie's leg went back to the floor. Duncan smiled at his pretty partner. "Not bad, 'sis'. It looks like you did earn that black belt."

Duncan smiled confidently and moved quickly around the floor. His footwork was fast and precise and he felt confident as he stepped behind Katie, ducked low and did a sweeping kick to take her legs out and drop her on her back.

OOC: Katie, your turn, you can move me again - offiacially permission

The move didn't surprise Katie at all. She hopped over his kick easily, landed and kicked at him. He BARELY dodged.

"That the best you got, bro ?" Katie teased. "You've got 'some' talent." Katie teased. "How about we kick it up a knotch ?" she asked.

Without waiting for an answer, Katie moved to him. She stood on one leg and threw five fast kicks.

Duncan managed to block most of them but one clipped his shoulder and pushed him back. Katie smiled. She leapt into the air and did a full spin and landed ready to fight. "That all you got ? Lil bro ?" she teased.
OOC: your turn Duncan. Permission to move me.

Duncan rolled with the kick and came up on his feet. He smiled and said "Just one notch ? Is that all ?" and he stood in a fighting stance.

Katie laughed. "Don't bite off more than you can chew, lil brother." She said before she moved on him.

OOC: I'm let you run this don't go to fast with the end

IC:

Katie was getting tired of Duncan's attitude. Maybe it was like having a brother. He was a nice guy but he could be ANNOYING !

Katie leapt forward and kicked at Duncan. It was a high and powerful kick that Duncan blocked, but the impact knocked him off the matts.

"Kid gloves are off lil brother." Katie said, dancing from stance to stance. "Surrender or get whooped."

IC:
Duncan leapt to his feet. "I don't -get whooped - sis." he said and advanced on her. His moves were swift and fluid, like the wind. Powerful, like a huricanne. Unfortunately for Duncan, his opponent seemed as fast as lightning. His only hits were glancing blows that had no effect on her, hardly hits at all.

OOC4: please hit Duncan on the face, left cheek, thanks.

They fought for real. Katie was impressed. Duncan almost got her a couple of times andshe was getting near, but no hits.
"You are fast, bro." she said as she kicked at his face then punched at his stomach then kicked at his face again. None of them connected.
She decided to try a different plan. She moved her leg and started to throw a quick kick to his ribs on the right, but she was faking him out and when he dodged left her fist was already on the way. She punched him in the face and it was a SOLID hit.
She spun and a double fisted punch hit his ribs while he was recovering from the face punch.

Duncan fell from the impact. He rolled onto his back and turned his body with the momentum so that he would stop rolling face up. It was a bad position, but defensible.

When Katie didn't attack Duncan stood up and rubbed his cheek. "I..." he had absolutely no idea what to say to the girl that just beat him. He stood in a formal stance and bowed to her as a student bows to a master.

"I was hoping to get some good practice. I didn't think you could kick my butt." Duncan said. "I guess I need more lessons."

[Laelia Lule]

A few days ago, when exploring the castle, Laelia was sure that she would have noticed a door opposite a very interesting tapestry featuring trolls. She blinked, and stared at the door some more. Interesting, she thought, I wonder what is behind it. I might not have a chance to do so again if it disappeared.

She opened the door, and went inside. It was occupied by Duncan and another girl, she remembered from Potions class. Ah yes, Professor Mellor had gone off on her. They were dressed strangely, standing on top of a strange thick carpet.

Hesitant, at her reception, she sidled off to the side deciding to observe them.

[Duncan Mowbray]

Duncan hadn't noticed Laelia as he spoke to Katie. "That was a great move. Was it like this ?" he asked. Moving away from Katie he threw a kick low, then a punch high followed by a double kick."

He humpfed. "That wasn't right." he bent and twisted. "I gotta stretch." He took two quick steps then leapt into the air and spun. He rotated in the air three full circles before he landed like a cat. Each rotation was a kick and each would have kicked a six foot man in the face.

He took a deep breath and shook his head. "Why couldn't I connect with you Katie ?" he asked as he panted from the work.

He smiled at the red head. "So you teach me Tae Kwon DO and I'll taech you Tai Chi Chaun ?"

Katie actually looked impressed when she saw Duncan's whirling kicks. "That's a deal, bro. Lessons for lessons."

She stepped close to him and said "Did you know we're being spied on ? Blonde slytherin girl."

When Duncan smiled Katie bonked him on the head. "It's not Lilah, twit."
OOC: I couldn't resist the chance to bonk you !!

[Laelia Lule]

As Laelia saw Duncan twirl furiously through the air with his feet hitting some invisible target high up, she was incredulous. This was nothing any wizard would know of, and it made her a bit curious. Was this some muggle tradition being practiced in Hogwarts? Really, what was the world coming to, these days.

And this talk of lessons...

Still, Laelia did not think she was so easily missed in the room. Where they avoiding her by any chance? She decided to speak up, and introduce herself to the girl, "Please excuse me. I happened upon this room by chance, and decided to take a peek. I'm Laelia Lule of Slytherin. Hello again, Mr. Mowbray."

Katie began to laugh. "Duncan, Is there even one good looking girl in this school that you don't know ?" She patted his back "What am I supposed to do with you , huh ? How do I keep you outta trouble like this ?!"

Katie, in her fighting gear that didn't show her house colors, introduced herself "KAtie Carter, hufflepuff. Me and Duncan were practicing our martial arts. Wanna watch ?"

she didn't wait for an answer as she moved at Duncan. "Defend yourself, dude !"

She moved in and through a sideways kick at his face.
OOC: Duncan, feel free to block.You can run the fight or please let me.

[Laelia Lule]

Laelia bit her lower lip, restraining a snarl at the girl's assumption. She wanted to beat him at nearly everything not snog the prat.

With frigid smile, she nodded at Miss Carter's introduction and invitation. Since she was soundly trouncing the git, she would love to watch.

Absently, she wondered if any muggle styles they were performing would useful in dueling. Particularly in dodging dodgy spells.

If Laelie wanted to see dodges then she got her wish and then some. Duncan flowed like a twisting stream and managed to stay just out of Katie's strikes, just BARELY out of her reach as Katie was incredibly fast.

He moved in archs, always seaming to flow. He spoke as he sent a tide of punches at Katie. She blocked most of them but one was a solid hit to the stomach "My style is call Tai Chi Chuan and it's from China. I studied it there."

His leg whipped low but Katie blocked it with equal force. He spoke again as he sent arching kicks at Katie's head. "Tae Chi Chuan is called a soft martial art. It has a lot of circular and arching motions, lots of redirection and attacks from unecpected angles."

He rolled under Katie's kick and came up with another punch to her mid-section. As she stumbled backwards she kicked at his head and clipped his chin.
