OOC: OK, i'm taking over

Katie persued him and made a leaping kick at him. He dropped and rolled under her and kicked Katie's butt. "HEY !!" Katie yelped.

They both got into fighting stances. "I do Tai Kwon Do, it's a korean martial art."

Katie advanced and threw a powerful punch at Duncan. He managed to shift out of the way. "It's a HARD martial art form, straight lines, and force and power. " and she emphasized it with a huge kick that Duncan blocked with both of his arms crossed in an X.

He smiled at Katie and said "gotcha !" He had trapped Katie's leg in the crossed arms ! He stepped backwards quickly and Katie lost her footing. As Katie fell towards the ground chest first, he brought up heis leg and kick her chest.

He backed away from her. She landed on her hands and knees. "ouch ! shit !"

She stood up and looked MAD !

OOC: since you let me kick you around i am returning the favor. Duncan, continue the fight or end it.

Laelia had no idea what these martial arts were like and what they were supposed to do aside from gaining martial prowess. So she watched in amazement as Duncan and Katie twisted and punched and kicked.

She winced at Katie's trip. Silently, she cheered for the other girl to break the boy into many pieces. It did not matter that she did not know her very well, but her hostility towards Mooberry cheered for any one or thing to cause him trouble. She did not mind giving such chaos a helping hand.

Duncan stood up and took a deep breath. He bowed to Katie. "You are incredible." he said. "I'm glad somebody as talented as you agreed to work with me."

He looked at Lulu "so what do you think?"

Katie looked at the slytherin girl that ... refuse to answer ? .. or maybe was lost in thouht.

"Let her think about it Duncan." Katie said. "It's a lot for a pure-blood to take in.. it's completely alien concepts."

She walked over and picked up a towel and began to wipe herslef down. "I was thinking of inviting my dorm-mate, Brooke, to join us. I think it would do her some good."

She walked to the middle of the matt and did some stretching "Gonna cool off then grab a shower." Katie said, officially ending the work-out.

[Duncan Mowbray]

"Can we invite Lilah and Mist too ?" Duncan suggested. "And maybe Sleepy and he'll wake up some."

Duncan joined in the excersizes. The stretches he did would leave any untrained male whimpering on the floor like a beaten animal. He wiped himself off with a towel too. "We could make a list of people to ask after class." Ducan said.

"I think you're right, Brooke needs it and Lilah too."

Lost in thought, Laelia shook her head. "Pray excuse me, I was a mite distracted," she said shaking her head. Really, Ms. Carter and her assumptions. Even, if she was right, it was embarrassing to have her thoughts broadcast. "An alien concept. I assumed it is a muggle martial art of some sorts. Or, was I completely wrong?" asked the blonde.

What a kind invitation she thought, they assumed they would say yes

OOC : It never actually mentioned any wizard martial arts at all in Harry potter. Since HP is our guide then I think it's safe to say that wizards have no martial arts. Wizaeds are too dependant on wands to dirty their hands or feet in a fight.
IC:
"Yes, it's a way muggles learned to protect themselves." Katie said. "Some legends say that they learned from watching animals and that's why there are things like tiger style kung fu or crane style or snake style. Kinda muggle-animagus"

"Other say that people that had no weapons learned to use there bodies as weapons so warriors like the ninjas could kill with there fists." Katie shrugged. "Nobody knows for sure. But in wandless combat... or if I could get real close so they couldn't have room to cast a spell, I could probably beat any student at this school."

"And with the dodging I already know I'll be wicked in the dueling club." she added.

And she left. "See ya all." she said on the way towards the door.

Laelia listened to Katie's explanation with some considerable interest. Not that she was a fan of muggle martial arts and other mugglish things but she pitied the poor muggles who had to resort to them. Thank Merlin for magic and wands!

She narrowed her eyes. Some of the moves could be useful in the duelling and there was no way she would pass up the opportunity to be the best in the class and clubs. She would not use it in the duelling club yet. The point of magical duelling was to improve their offensive and defensive spell casting. Dodging would be more useful in the club.

"I think learning about dodging would be quite useful, if you do not mind having me join," she said. She nodded her head and said her goodbyes to Miss Carter, "It was nice meeting you Miss Carter."

Duncan thought that it might be fun to see ms lule land on her butt a few times. The slythering girl obviously had no idea how much work the young martial artists had done to gain waht they had learned. Duncan had spent nearly three years and he was sure that Katie spent at least five years to become as lightning fast as she was.

"I'll get a schedule together with Katie and the other students and we'll see when everybody can meet." Duncan said.

He started to walk towards the door. "Plan to work hard and to hurt from your workouts." he said with a smile on his face. "Or don't plan to show up. My students work hard, just like I'll work hard for Katie."
