Lesson 1 - Introductions

[Prof. Aislinn Power]

Aislinn opened the door to the classroom once she heard the distant ringing from the bell. She put a smile on her face and breathed deeply. She was about to have a new class of first year students. She hopped they wouldn't be as loud as last years. The paperwork of all those detentions tiered her. But it is the reason why those kids never go out of line with her anymore. She might be young, but she is a fiery Irish woman and doesn't tolerate any disruption in her class.

She looked outside and let the students in.
''Take your seats! Books out! We will begin Immediately.''
She paused as the sounds of groans went through the class. She then moved to the top and faced the students. A stern look on her face. She needed to show these students she was serious.
''Now. I am Professor Power, and I will be your Herbology Professor this year.''
She smiled as she looked around her greenhouse. Immaculate flowers were blossoming all over and the smell reminded her of her home on the Irish farm.

''Today we will start with simple introductions, so for your homework, yes homework. I want you to start by telling me a little about yourself. Give me your name, house and tell me two interesting things about yourself. We will start the Herbology course next week.''

Lilah came into the room very excited she acutally like school. She admired Professor Power's knowledge and beauty.

Lilah was working on her home work As she wrote on the paper.

Lilah finished neatly but didnt know how interesting she could be.

[Brooke Edwards]

Seeing the greenhouses in the distance, Brooke sped up her pace. She ran towards the greenhouses, not wanting to be late for her first class. She was so excited! Brooke had her hair at a very un-noticeable colour of hazel brown. Her eyes were a deep blue. She planned on keeping her features the same, just so she wouldn't stand out in class. She didn't think there was anyone she knew in her class.

Brooke sat down exactly when the teacher said. She made sure that she was near the back, she didn't want to stand out. Brooke looked intently at the teacher, she wanted to learn all that she could.

About ourselves? Brooke thought. That's all. Well, I can do that. Brooke thought eagerly in her head. She was now excited to begin her work. She quickly pulled out her quill and a piece of parchment. She also tied her brown hair back to get it out of her eyes. Brooke cracked her knuckle before beginning, it was a nasty habit that she had recieved from her Uncle.

My name is Brooke Edwards and I am in Hufflepuff. I don't think that there are too many interesting things about me. The first I can think of, is that I am a metamorphmagus, meaning I can change my appearance. Another intereresting thing about me is that I love magical creatures, especially dragons. That about sums up me.

She signed it with a very elegant Brooke Edwards and then read over her work with a smile on her face. She hoped this would be enough.

[Charlotte Honeygold]

Charlotte sat in the back of the room, listening to Proffesor Power. She loved Herbology, and new she would love this class. She got out her parchment and quill, and wrote down her homework.

Aislinn collected all the homework of the students who attended and smiled at each one as she headed back to her desk and dismissed the class as the bell had rang. She was eager to get started on the new lesson.
