New Head

[Prof. Kaylee Ginger]

Walking into the Great Hall, Kaylee tied her long blond hair back, brushing the strands that were too short out of her face. This room was filled with so many memories for her. Some good, some bad, but all remediable. Now, she was back as a teacher, the charms and transfiguration teacher. Even though she would have preferred to teach Care of Magical Creatures, Kaylee was still glad to be back at Hogwarts.

Sighing she walked over to the Hufflepuff Table, ready to introduce herself to them as the new head of house. Reaching the end where most of the children sat. Smiling she said, "Hello everyone. I'm Professor Kaylee Porter, and I will be your new Head of House." She began looking at each student. "I'll also be teaching Charms and Transfiguration, so I hope to see some of you in my class."

[Katie Carter]

A tall, for a first year, pretty red head smiled up at her. "That's great. I'm in both those classes so you'll see me a lot. I'm Katie Carter."

Why were they all still quiet? Did she really scare them this much? Kaylee didn't think she was that scary. Still looking at the students she brushed her bangs out of the way, something she always did when she was a bit nervous. And then finally a student spoke, thank god! Looking over at the red head, Kaylee smiled softly. "Thanks you, I hope to see Ms. Carter." She said.

"Now do any of you have any questions you might want to ask?" Kaylee asked, returning her attention to all the students sitting at the table. 'Ok so far, so good Kaylee...one student likes you....'

[Duncan Mowbray]

A handsome young blonde from the Gryfindor table stood up and address her. "Thank you professor. My name is Duncan Mowbray and I'm in those classes too. Katie is kinda my pseudo-sister. I have a couple of questions. I had left a message with professor Fandale before she disappeared to see if she would be the advisor for a magic club because transfiguration would probably be a big item in our club. Professor, would you be willing to be the advisor to a club of kids that want to learn extra magic ?"

Kaylee stood their waiting for some questions to pour out of a students mouth, but she got nothing. Uh, something told her that this was going to be a really, really, REALLY long school year. And then a student walked up to the table and introduced himself. Well he certainly wasn't from her house, but Kaylee smiled at him nonetheless. "Well I hope to see you in class Ducan." She said.

Then the young boy began talking about a Magic Club. They had one of those now? Well how come they only had dueling club when she was in school! Not fair, hmph! But oh well, she could try to teach extra magic to some students if they really wanted to. "Well it sounds fun," She said. "And I'd love to help out. I'll talk to the headmaster and see what he says. That alright with you?" Kaylee asked looking at Duncan and the other Hufflepuff students who would be attending the club meetings.

OOC: Duncan is a Gryfindor, but his buddy Katie is a hufflepuff so he hangs around hufflepuff sometimes.

Duncan smiled. He sensed that he would really like this professor. "Thank you Professor. That would be the best we could hope for, and we'll work hard and always consult you and make you proud of us."

Wow this kid could act like a suck up, but who cared, he was defiantly going to be one of her more favorite students. "Your welcome Duncan, I'm sure you'll all make me proud one way or another."

Turning back to the rest of the table Kaylee cleared her throat. "Alright, if that's all and none of you have any other questions, I guess I'll be on my way," She said gather some of her things. "If you do have any questions to ask me, feel free to stop by my office anytime."
