You walk into the Charms classroom to see neat rows of desks, each suited for two people. On each desk is a small stool, which Professor Ginger will explain later. Speaking of Professor Ginger, she sits at her desk, a colorful bird perched on one of those bird stools.
OOC: Alright guys, class will be starting sometime after I come home from school OR when we have enough students in class. Class will last about four days so everyone has a chance to participate.

Katie ran in an took a seat in the front row. "Hi Professor !" she said with a huge smile.
She looked around and saw that she was first and thought 'I should tease Duncan about slowing down now that he got a girlfriend'. She took out her books and parchment and wand.

Brooke wandered through the corridors. She knew she had a class today, but wasn’t sure which one it was. Her hair was a light hazel brown and it was in cute curls all around her face. Her eyes, however, were deep purple with bit of green in the colour. She loved experimenting with eye colours every once and a while.
Brooke had started to dig through her bag when a huge Ravenclaw 7th year walked around the corner and bumped into her. She grabbed at her stuff in as it fell through the air and all over the hallway floor. She quickly started to pick it all up, while the Ravenclaw walked away snickering. Brooke frowned at him and was tempted to hex him.
After collecting all of her things, the name of her class finally came to her. CHARMS! She ran off down the hallway towards the Charms classroom. Once Brooke had found her destination she found her normal seat at the back and took out her notes. She did want to be noticed, in case she was late.

From the corner of her eye, Kaylee noticed someone else enter the classroom. Looking away from Katie, she noticed another girl sitting towards the back of the classroom. "Why hello, I don't think we've met. I'm Professor Kaylee Ginger, Head of Hufflepuff, and professor of Transfiguration and Charms." She said, smiling at the young girl. |

Brooke looked shyly up at the teacher from her drawings. She wasn’t used be being addressed this way. She was quite sure that the other teachers barely knew she existed. Brooke blushed a little and focused on not changing her appearance at all. She didn’t want to stand out in any way.
“Brooke Edwards.” She said quietly, looking up at her new head of house. “It’s nice to meet you.” Her purple eyes then returned to her paper. She looked up at the cat again and tried to get its nose just right.
“When are we going to begin class?” Brooke asked thoughtlessly. She wasn’t even aware that she had said it while she was sketching the cat. Brooke never thought of teachers as friends, yet this one seemed genuinely interested in her. Brooke almost wanted her to walk away because it was distracting her from her drawing.

"Alright we all know how to perform some charms, but who can tell what a charm actually is?" |

Katie sighed. Of ourse she knew that Duncan would have an answer. Sometimes it was REALLY wierd that he wasn't a Ravenclaw.
She looked around the class and paid attention, waiting for the teacher's response to Duncan.

She looked at the class to see if they understood what she was talking about, they looked like they did, so Kaylee continued with the lesson. "Alright, now let's name a few charms." She said. "And I want TWO spells from EVERYONE." She said sternly. She wanted everyone in the class to participate. |

Katie thought of a couple and she shot her hand up so she could answer before anybody stole her answers. "Accio is the summoning charm and alohamora is the unlocking charm!" she announced happily.

Duncan raised his hand. When he was called on he answered "Cheering charm and invisibility charm." Kaylee said waving her wand at the chalkboard. The white piece of chalk rose up into the air and wrote down the two charms. Katie thought of a couple and she shot her hand up so she could answer before anybody stole her answers. "Accio is the summoning charm and alohamora is the unlocking charm!" she announced happily. "Also correct, good job Katie." Kaylee said waving her wand again. The chalk flew up again and wrote down the two charms along with the first. "Come on, we need more!" Kaylee said looking back at the class. Fine, if no one else wanted to answer she'd make them. "Brooke, give me two charms." She said pointing at the girl. |

The silence in the room was REALLY getting on Duncan's nevrves. He looked abckat all of the people behind him and decided that he would be willing to risk loosing the point he gained if he could get something happening. He stood and turned towards the class "I heard some of you bragging at breakfast about how well you'd do in this class and how many charms you already knew, or was that just chatter and bragging ?" he asked.
His gaze met Brooke's and he smiled encouraginly. He mouthed "I know you can answer this" so that it was easy for her to see.
He turned towards the Professor. "I'm sorry professor, but I'm here to learn and if the queit-as-a-grave group back there are slowing it down than I want to give them a shove." and he sat down.

Kaylee nodded her head at Duncan. He was right, if they were just going to sit there and do nothing, having this class was extremely pointless. "Thank you Duncan." She said turning to her class and crossing her arms. "He is completely right, if you think this is so easy, I'll give you harder work. I may be a easy going teacher, but passing my classes are not easy. And I will hold you back." She said. "Now Brooke, give me two spells."
