Both from Fukuoka,Japan. At the age of 5, Yui and her family Moved to Greenwich Village. At the Age of 8, her parents died of a suspected arson in downtown London. Yui, with no family in the immediate area was given to a Japanese foster family that lives in England. Yui's Family in Japan refuse to come out to England but do help to donate to any of her expenses until she is 18 in which is has been told by the family to move back to Japan for her religious families right of passage. They are Shintoists.

Yui interests are: Science and the Theroetics behind Magic, Reading, and at home she does use a computer (course cannot be used in Hogwarts). She is a devout Shintoist, but very shy to those around her. You will usually find her in a corner reading a book while surveying everything that everyone is doing. She is not a largely outgoing person unless it is a subject she is very good at. Nature and Science fascinates her so much that sometimes it distracts her from the world around her. She will follow butterflies for their patterns and collect catapillar samples to see their growth rates. She is familiar with both worlds, although her foster parents know nothing of the magical world. They are very sweet and supportive people to her for the most part. They are also have strong rules and morale compasses that go beyond the rules of any other place (otherwise known as what they say goes). She has certain dietary restrictions, and habits which have to be maintained. These Rules may seem very odd to many people which tends to make her stick out. Example: every friday she must keep a mouse in her drawer to appease the spirits. Daily flowers to promote the earth to be around her. She keeps rose petals and other flowers sometimes stuck between the pages of her book as bookmarks.

Additional Info:

Because of her shintoism she has pictures of shrines in which she takes bites of her food from her dinner to give to the spirits, and a small bell for Daily prayer, and thanks during every meal (itadakimasu or I humbly recieve). She doesnt think of it as a religion really but a way of every day life.
