[Duncan Mowbray]

Duncan shook his head. "This can't be real."

A voice in Duncan's ear said "It need not be wrong. The song can be sung and the spheres can be touched, by you. Childish things happen to you as you are still a child. Sing, touch the music of the spheres and move along."

Another voice whispered in his head. "Do not listen to the voice Duncan. It leads you to folly." Pan pleaded.

"The gods have never been the frineds of man.. to show you a gift and say never use it. Reach the great power Duncan... sing." whispered the other voice in his head.

Duncan opened his mouth and began to sing. Softly at first, then louder and stronger until his voice seemed to fill all of the great hall. The windows exploded outwards, unable to hold the song within the walls. Deep magic flowed like a flood, like lava, from Duncan. It filled every student, every teacher, every THING in hogwarts and flowed into the forbidden forest.

Duncan fell to the ground and the song ended. He felt like he was made of mud, or water or maybe a potion, until everything calmed. He stood up.

"Why is my costume so tight ?" he looked down and saw himself and he instantly knew... he was two years older, a third year. He had somehow moved himself forward.. his mind, his emotions and body, all had moved two years.

He looked and saw Katie. She was a third year too. "Wow, you look great."

Darrin, still a third year, looked at her and said "that's for sure."

Duncan noticed that many of the first years had advanced and were two years older now, and many were not.

"I did this." he said, astonished at what he had done.

The headmaster approacched and said "Join me, Mister Mowbray."

He raised his voice. "All first years that are now third years, report to the infirmory. To all other students, the ball is ended. Return to your common rooms."

Duncan walked to the headmaster. "sir ?"

The headmaster raised his hand. "After the others are gone."

OOC: everybody that wants to be a third year instead of a first is now a third year, two years older with two years more knowledge and ability and maturity ( OK, so how mature is a 13 year old ) ?

Katie felt dizzy for a moment. She smiled at the compliment from the boys. "Thanks." she said.

She tugged at her chain-mail bikini then looked at it and it seemed to have shrunk. She saw her own cleavage and saw herself 'busting' out of the top.

She knew that something was wrong. When she put the costume on in her room it was snug but it wasn't cutting off her circulation and it didn't look like her ... upper body.

She looked at the top "I haven't fit into something this size since I was 11." she said. "I was...11."

She sat in a chair and felt wobbly. "I was 11 this morning and I'm 13. I know I'm 13 and I remember the last two years. I remember being 11 and first year classes and second year classes and the beginning of third term and... I was a first year this morning."

"Duncan ?" she asked, affraid and confused.

ooc- I was really developed and tall at 13 I'm 5'10 and I was 5'9 at 13 so Lilah is a 3rd yr now too ahah

Duncan looked dazed like somebody had punched him in the face. "I... I have two sets of memories competing in my head. In one I put on this costume and it fit perfect and I was a first year and in one I put on this costume and it fit perfect and I was a third year and somebody pranked me and my friends and shrank our costumes."

His face showed a jumble of emotions. "I did this.. this is my fault. I touch the" he stopped speaking as he realized that the whole was looking at him. Staring...

He could see that some were impressed and others were terrified.

The headmaster spoke. "I am being called to... " he looked at Duncan "Lilah is in the forbidden forest and I need to go get her." He turned and spoke to the staff. "Professor Power, stay here with all of the changed first year that are now third years. When all of the other students have left, take those youngsters to the infirmory."

The headmaster hurried out.

Professor Power looked at Duncan. "Well the year won't be boring with you around. But Gryfindor will finish the year with zero points."

Katie looked at herself and admired her shape. She was chestier and taller and her muscles where fine and stong. She rubbed her hand over her six pack abs and laughed. She looked at Darrin "So ?"

Darrin gentley rubbed his hand across her tummy. "Man, I gotta get to the gym. This is embarrassing."

Katie laughed, then kissed the Slytherin boy full on hte lips. He returned the kiss as naturally as if it happened every day ( and katie happily remembered that it does ).

Then she looked at Duncan and walked to him. He was taller than her and nicely muscled too. She took his face in both hands and kissed him firmly on the lips.

Duncan looked VERY surprised.

Katie let go and laughed. She looked at Darrin "Never snogg your brother, not even an adopted one."

She touched Duncan gentley on the cheek "I love you, brother. And I always will."

Duncan smiled at her and said "Ditto" and they both laughed at the reference to the movie 'Ghost'.

DUncan looked at Darrin. "I'm glad my sister is with such a good guy."

Darrin smiled. "You're OK too Duncan, I mean, for a gryfindor." and they all laughed.

Duncan took off his shirt and handed it to Katie "I think my sister could be showing too much skin."

Katie accepted the shirt and put it on.

"Rats." said Darrin. "I like the metal bikini."

Duncan laughed at Arron, he really liked the Slytherin boy. They had been best mates for nearly a year, when Duncan decided that Aron was good for Katie. "You're OK too, for a Slytherin."

He looked at Katie and felt a mix of emotion. He loved her with his whole heart and always would love her as a sister. It made him feel warm and sad and affraid. Warm that his not-really-his-sister was as dear to him as anybody could be and he felt sad that she'd never be more than his sister and affraid that nobody else would love him as much as he knew that she did.

"DUNCAN MOWBRAY !!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE !?!?!" screamed a beautiful blonde first year.

Duncan did a double-take "Kate, what are you doing here ?"

"I'm eleven and a first year, big brother ! This morning I was nine and still in muggle school. NOW I'M AT HOGWARTS and WHAT DID YOU DO "

Duncan shook his head "It couldn't have been THAT much magic. You can't have aged two years." Duncan said staring at his little sister in disbelief.

"You aged me and Will both two years - DUNCAN !" the little blonde Ravenclaw continued to scream.

Professor Power interpupted. "You touched a magic greater than you can imagine mister Mowbray - more magic than Voldemorte ever used - without caution or consideration." The professor shook her head. "The power you tapped touched into the whole world. If you were trying a destructive spell you might have killed every wizard and muggle in the world."

Her face looked stern. "Don't confuse courage with idiocy, Mowbray. Don't play with things you don't understand."

Duncan sank into a chair. "merlin." he stared at the wall, affraid for the first time in years.

Kate shook her head. "duncan" she muttered, not knowing what to do.

OOC: Duncan's history had a younger sister named Kaitlyn for him before Katie joined. So now he has an adopted sister and a real sister, both Kate.

Katie looked at Kate and sighed. "Come on, girl, give our brother a break." the hufflepuff red head said to the blonde Ravenclaw.

Kate grumbled "Of course you take HIS side. You're alwqays on his side. If he said you were a boy named Albert you'd agree with him." She snarled at her pseudo-sister Katie. "You been like that since he brought you and Lilah home for your first visit. Lilah's the only girl that makes him stupider than you do."

Katie laughed at Kate. "Yea, I guess. But we're family so it's different."

Katie looked at Duncan grumpnig and pointed her wand at him. "Hey bro... aquamento !!" and he was drenched.

Lilah wondered and saw duncan drenched

"Oh hon, what did you do?!" She laughed and she noticed Duncan's little sister.

"When did you get here?!" lilah hugged her "What happened to him?!

"WHY ARE WE ALL OLD?!" She said

Katie tweeked Lilah's nose. "I am NOT old, I am 13 !" and she laughed. "Professor Power said something about him using this super-end-all-amazing-ultimate spell source to tap power to be older.

She looked at Duncan then at Lilah. "I think it was because as eleven year olds your just way to young to start getting serious. I guess that he figured you could START to get serious when you were 13 because his mom and dad started dating at 13 and have been together ever since."

She stood closer to Lilah "He risked the whole world for you."

Lilah looked at Katie confused.

"he risked the world? For me?" She asked disbelieving.

"I'm not worth it. I almost ran away! Why would he?!" She yelled
