TO ALL MEMBERS: There has been some confusion lately about when to role play and when not to role play. Hopefully, this message will clear that confusion up. 9 times out of 10, we have had members posting out of character. This is not how this site works. The posts that you make must be in role play form, even if it is something as simple as buying a wand from Ollivander's. This means you need to put a story with your post. Something along the lines of: Lately, I have been seeing a lot of this: The second one is very boring and dull, while the first one is more exciting and imaginative. Please make your in-character posts more creative, as though you are telling a story. The only places where you can be out-of-character is in "Non-RP Related" section at the bottom of the main page, or in the "Ask the Staff!" board at the top of the page. Telling a story is what this site is all about and that is what role playing is. You are telling a story! When you are not in character, you are not telling a story, and that is not role playing. In conclusion, when making a post in character, pretend as though you are telling someone a story or writing a novel. In-character posts must be made in the third person (he, she, it). I expect to see more "in-character" posts as time goes on. I want no more of this out of character stuff I have been seeing lately. If you have questions, please PM me directly or post your questions publicly in this thread. Headmaster J. Coppergold

Definitely agree! We all are here because of the immersive world that we fell in love with and should do our best to behave within the confines of this world.
There is definitely a time, more appropriately a place for out of character conversations. I'm always more impressed with in character comments for sure
