"Huh? Oh no. i was ... talking to myself."

"It has not. You think it has forfilled it's destiny, young girl, when it hasn't. It has been around for thousands of years, yet still no nearer it is to the end of it's quest than when it first began."

Mist stared at the pendant in amazement. It flickered to silver.

"Who gave me this?"

"I cannot reveal." Pan murmered.

"YOU MUST!" Mist roared. "You cannot expect me to leave it after it's history."

"Fine. The person who gave you this glory was .... "

OOC : Duncan or someone with permission to run Pan, please tell who gave Mist the pendant. I can't think of anything

"Hey, hey, hey, hey ... " Mist said, "Katie, cool it, cool, it, cool it ... "

Then she kicked Katie's bum. Hard.
"Don't call him a Gryffindork."

"Katie. We were brought here for a purpose. If it is our fate to help save the world we must accept it."

OOC1: OK MIst, but it should be thousands of years. The human race hasn't been civilized for hundreds of thousands of years yet.

Pan smiled and looked at Mist. He took the talisman and handed it to Duncan. "Tell her it's origin, lad."

Duncan looked at it, then at Mist. He opened his mouth and moved his lips, but no words came out.

He looked at Mist. "I know who will give this amulet to you when the time is right. That's the correct answer, or at least part of it. I can't get my mouth to make the words for the rest. But it's important to remember that the talisman that you have WILL be given to you in the proper time. Its " and his mouth moved and made no sound. He looked frustrated.

OOC: can't make it too easy Mist. You have to help him tell you the answer.

mist sighed.
"Never bloody easy .... "

She looked at th pendant.
"Help him," she said, then, "Oh crap, I have gone mental."

"I will travel with you but if i am not needed anymore shall i leave?" Lilah was hurt knowing she wasnt needed for anything anymore she should of died.

He laughed and held her close "Not needed ?" he shook his head. "I need you... I need you to be the reason I can go on. To be my reason to have the will to win."

He tilted her face towards his "Lilah I"

his lips brushed hers. "love you."

Mist sighed.
"No one can keep a bloody promise round here."
She clambered up a tree andfingeed her pendant.
"Tell me your secrets ... " She wished.

[Brooke Edwards]

Brooke looked at Mist and her pendant. Her skn was almost white and her had her eyes a bright blue. Her hair was pitch black and it was spiked on her head. She looked rather crazy. Brooke was so unsure about what was going on. She heard something about the end of the world and Duncan had said something to her, but other than that she had no idea. Katie was there as well. While Katie stormed around Brooke heard a small voice in her head say, Wow, Katie is really pretty when she’s angry. She shook that thought off and looked up at Pan. He was quite magnificent. She knew now that Duncan had been right. He was an amazing god. She was glad to know from Pan that she was safe. The centaurs had returned to their feet and the foal came over to speak to Brooke again.

“Brooke?” Fritz asked, smiling. “What is it that all of your people are worried of?” his blue eyes sparkled and had a beautiful sense of innocence to them. Brooke turned to Duncan to ask him, but she saw him and Lilah being kissy so she turned away quickly. A jealous burned in her heart for a second, and then blew out as she looked at Fritz again.

“I’m not sure Fritz, but I’m sure it will all be explained soon.” She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. He pulled it back right away and ran back to his mother. Brooke didn’t realize she had done anything wrong, but then Fritz’s mother leaned down and told him something. She smiled at Brooke and walked over, with Fritz at her tail. The male turned to speak with Pan. They began to speak some language that Brooke didn’t understand, so she ignored it.

When duncan told her he loved her

she started crying happy tears and kissed him.

"You so strong. you don't need me." Lilah said

Katie rubbed her tushie where Mist kicked her. "I suppose I deserve that. " she grumbled.

She heard Mist and shoook her head. "Oh for merlin's sake ! Are you just stupid or what ? Duncan is a sweatheart and if you won't be there for him some cute girl.. smarter than you.. will be there to take your place in two seconds."

"You have something good, you twit. " she grumbled "and if my little brother isn't good enough for you then maybe you just don''t deserve Duncan. So figure it out, but don't you DARE play games with his heart." KAtie said, sounding exaxtly like an over protective older sister.

[Mist LightRose]

Mists' eyes watered. She wasn't playing games with Duncan. She just didn't feel that way about him anymore.
"You can say what you want Katie but I didn't get there first and right now I don't care. It's hard though. For me to ADJUST. I thought you were my friend. You were there to comfort me. I can't belive you'd say something so horrible. Maybe I am thick, maybe I am a loser, maybe I don't deserve Duncan but I didn't want him to know I likd him Katie, maybe I think people like me and no-one reaLLY CARES ! i HATE MY LIFE! I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!!!!!!!"
She started crying, full pelt crying. she ran out if the sacred place.
"I'M NEVER COMING BACK! I HATE MY LIFE!"
Mists' voice echoed and she ran.

[Duncan Mowbray]

OOC: Katie, where did that come from ?
IC:
Duncan STORMED up between Katie and Mist. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT !?" he screamed at Katie. "Mist has done NOTHING wrong and you have NO RIGHT to traeat her like that ! If I have a problem with Mist or with anybody else then I WILL DEAL WITH IT ! NOT YOU !"

"Mist didn't do anything to play with my heart." he growled at Katie. "Did you get kicked in the head too hard or something ?"

He turned and ran after Mist. "MIST ! WAIT FOR ME !" he pleaded as he ran. "HER STUPID WORDS AREN'T WHAT I BELIEVE !"

Mist had already left. Duncans voice was loud, but Mist had ran so fast she was well away from hearing him. she found where she had previously met Brooke and cried so hard her eyes were in danger of melting.

OOC: I thought Brooke and the centaurs and everybody was in the safe place. You might have to ask brooke where she is.

OOC : No, where she'd already met Brooke at the beggining of the thread. She is in teh safe place.

Duncan caught up with Mist. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "I don't know what the hell got into Katie. It's like she was possessed or something, but she does NOT speak for me."

"You are dear to me and precious and I will NOT let go of you or your friendship. You mean too much to me." he stroked her hair. "I'll never play with your heart and I know you've never played with mine and your place can't be taken."

He looked into her eyes. "It's like being a sister, a new sister doesn't make the old one go away. Nobody can make my caring for you go away."

He looked back towards the safe place. He muttered "Katie, I am so gonna stomp your ass."

He held Mist close to him again. He whispered softly and felt that Lilah would hear him "Mist needs us, Lilah."
